Man United Quote’s for this week

‎”I need to call Bruce and Pallister!,” joked the boss, who fielded Michael Carrick alongside Nemanja Vidic at Goodison Park.

“Phil Jones started training yesterday but tomorrow is too soon for him.

“It’s pretty much the same as Monday night injury-wise. Alex will be involved tomorrow because he gives that back-up.

“Evra could actually play centre-back. He has done in the past. But I don’t think Alex (Buttner) will start tomorrow, I think he’ll be on the bench.”

– Sir Alex Ferguson

BBC Radio Manchester’s Bill Rice reports from
Manchester United’s Carrington training ground:
“Alex Ferguson says there’s every chance Robin Van
Persie could make his first start for Manchester
United against Fulham tomorrow.
“United look set to play Michael Carrick at centre
back again, as Phil Jones isn’t ready for the game
despite a return to training this week.
“New signing Alexander Buttner is available and
likely to be on the bench.”
“RvP has had a few days training since Monday. It’s a home game and there’s every chance he could get a start.”

The 70-year-old Scottish boss has stated that the club’s transfer business for this summer is at an end as they clinched their fifth signing of the transfer window

Manchester United manager Sir Alex Ferguson has declared that the club’s purchase ofAngelo Henriquez will be the last piece of transfer business that the club is involved in this summer. Having already clinched the signings of Robin van Persie, Alexander Buttner, Shinji Kagawa and Nick Powell, the 18-year old Mexican forward who signed from Universidad de Chile became their fifth deal of a busy window for the club. However, Ferguson has stated that there will be no more players coming into the club now.

We definitely won’t be buying anyone else,” Ferguson told reporters.

“There is no movement about anyone going the other way.”

After tracking Henriquez for a number of years, Ferguson was pleased to conclude their finalsigning of the transfer window by bringing in the exciting striker, having been impressed with his form and development over the past few months.

“Henriquez is on his way back to Manchester, he had to go back to Chile.

“He came over when he was 15 and 16. We kept in close contact with him and, when he got to 18, it was a matter of whether or not we left him for another year or decided to get him in.

“But he had such a good summer, that we decided to bring him in.”
